HEIDENHAIN EMO 2025:
Uplevel your manufacturing processes!

Discover intelligent and innovative solutions for machine tools and production automation: “Empower manufacturing” is this year’s motto for HEIDENHAIN and its brands AMO, ETEL, NUMERIK JENA and RSF at the EMO 2025 trade show in Hannover, Germany. Showcasing exciting new solutions and enhancements, HEIDENHAIN and its brands are empowering users and machine manufacturers to boost their production efficiency and agility.

The HEIDENHAIN GROUP is a competent system provider for controls, encoders, touch probes, vision systems, software and other solutions that ensure high accuracy, reliability and performance in innovative industries such as machine tools, electronics manufacturing, robotics, medical tech, elevators and metrology.

At EMO 2025, HEIDENHAIN will be expanding its family of TNC7 controls to include new functions and a new CNC control designed for legacy machine upgrades and vocational-training machines:

  • In the future, the 19-inch and 24-inch variants of the TNC7 will also perform cylindrical grinding and contour shaping, thereby enabling complete machining along with exceptional dimensional accuracy, contour fidelity and surface quality. TNC7 users will have milling, turning and grinding capabilities at their fingertips without rechucking the workpiece. The TNC7 and TNC7 basic also offer new capabilities for cylinder surface machining.Meanwhile, new functions for graphical programming and simulation are further simplifying the intuitive usability of TNC7 controls through enhanced user guidance and new analysis capabilities.
  • At EMO 2025, the TNC7 go will be bringing the groundbreaking user-friendliness of the TNC7 family to vocational-training contexts and legacy machine upgrades. A particular highlight is the new “Graphical positioning” function. Instead of writing an NC program, users draw the desired contour or hole pattern directly on the touchscreen. Position approach motion is handled by the control. As a straight-cut control that can manage analog axes, the TNC7 go is the next-generation successor to the HEIDENHAIN TNC 128 control.

In a global premier at EMO 2025, visitors will get to see the HEIDENHAIN programming system, a PC software solution for creating NC programs executable by HEIDENHAIN controls. With its Feature-Based Programming functionality, the programming system offers a completely new ability to extract the full geometric description of individual elements, including contours and depths, from the CAD data of a 3D model. This geometric description is enhanced with milling strategies before being used to automatically create a Klartext program. Programs automatically generated in this manner can also be converted by the Klartext Converter, allowing them to be executed on HEIDENHAIN controls that predate the TNC7 and its required software options. The programming system also supports new simulation functions such as rewind and fast-forward capability, a simulation log for easily validating generated programs, and a new manager function for Digital Twins. Of course, all the familiar functions of the HEIDENHAIN programming station are available as well.

At EMO 2025, HEIDENHAIN will also be showcasing the new version 1.6 of its Visual Tool Check software for the VT 122 measuring camera. In the future, the Visual Tool Check software will offer AI-based wear measurement that fully automates the current manual measurement process, thereby enabling faster process documentation. Industries such as aerospace and medical tech will especially benefit from this. As a combined system, the VT 122 camera and Visual Tool Check software are thus an important solution for saving time during holistic tool monitoring while providing the machine-tool user with reliable tool-condition data.
